What is Sella Basmati rice?
Sella refers to Basmati rice that has been treated using the parboiling process. The rice is treated with water and heat before being husked, and then dried. Basmati describes the rice group, Sella the processing method – so Sella rice can indeed be genuine Basmati rice.
Which dishes is Sella Basmati suitable for?
1121 Sella Basmati is suitable for biryani, pulao and rice side dishes served with vegetables, meat or curries. Its comparatively firm grain structure makes it particularly interesting for dishes where the rice grains should remain well separated after cooking.
